We were contacted to consult on a fit-out for luxury home gym equipment in Wandsworth. The client wanted to set up a home gym in their newly refurbished house. The room was a blank canvass so we had plenty of scope to play around with the layout and design, although once the location of the TV had been established it was a lot easier to determine the positioning of the home gym equipment.
GYM DESIGN AND LAYOUT
Given the gym equipment requirements and size of the room, approximately 5m x 4m, we developed a layout that would give the client scope to move around freely, as well as leave open the option of adding more luxury home gym equipment. As two pieces of equipment – a punchbag and TRX suspension system – required attaching to the ceiling joists we had to make enough space for them to be used safely but also be mindful to ensure they didn’t take up too much of the gym space.
LUXURY HOME GYM EQUIPMENT
The client wanted to have mix of cardio and strength gym equipment with scope to add additional pieces once they had got used to having a home gym.
The home gym equipment we installed at his home gym project were as follows.
1 x Adjustable bench
1 x Jordan Dumbbell Rack and Classic Dumbbells (2kg – 20kg)
1 x Escape 40kg Punchbag
1 x 65 cm Dura Ball
1 x TRX Suspension System.
2x Core Mats
CONCLUSION
As this home gym design project clearly demonstrates you don’t need much space to set up a home gym. Very little luxury home gym equipment is required to provide a great looking space which will provide beneficial workouts to help improve and maintain your health and wellbeing.
