GYM FIT OUT IN DULWICH

We were contacted by a client who was looking to convert an underused basement room into a home gym space. They had a good idea of the equipment they required but needed our assistance to plan out the space and choose the best gym equipment for the room.

The Brief

The room our client wanted to fit out with home gym equipment was an underused basement space that was being used as an occasional extra living room space. However, the infrequency with which the family room was being utilised meant that our client had decided to repurpose most of the space as a home gym. After visiting site and discussing with the client the equipment requirements we were able to fully understand the brief and come up with some potential layouts.

Gym Design, Concept and Layout

After understanding the brief we got to work providing a concept and layout for the space with all the home gym equipment in place. The client wished to retain some elements of the living room so it could be used to relax and watch TV when it was not being used as a gym. This meant we had to find equipment hat would fit into approx half the room space.

Gym Flooring

The client was concerned about protecting the new wooden flooring that was being laid in the gym space, in particular from the free weights that we would be installing. So, we recommend using a relatively thick gym flooring that would protect the wooden floor form any damage form dropped weights.

The list of gym equipment we installed was as follows:

  • Jordan Classic Rubber Dumbbells 2.5kg – 25kg and vertical rack
  • Technogym MyRun treadmill
  • Technogym Elliptical
  • NOHrd Indoor Bike
  • NOHrd Adjustable Bench
  • Pavigym Endurance Flooring
  • Mirroring
