We were contacted by a home owner in Chiswick to set up a home gym in their garage. The space had already been finished, painted and decorated to a high standard. The space was therefore ready to house some luxury home gym equipment.
The client wished to fit-out their garage with Technogym’s premium home gym equipment line – Personal line.
GARAGE GYM LAYOUT
Once we had established the garage’s dimensions we were able to devise home gym set up that would work in the space, to make best use of the windows to ensure that the client was not looking directly at a wall when exercising. The long narrow shape of the space meant that options for gym layouts were limited. However, the gym layout we provided created some space at one end of the gym for free weights and mat work.
Gym Flooring
The gym had an engineered wooden floor, but the client requested an area of the room to be covered with some specific gym flooring to protect it from dropped free weights and to provide a degree of cushioning for floor work. We therefore recommended Pavigym’s 7mm Endurance gym flooring which would not only protect the wooden floor but also help absorb noise, and provide some cushioning.

Flooring
To keep the sense of space in the gym we chose a light coloured flooring to match the colour of the existing wooden floor. Pavigym’s endurance tile, in beechwood, was a good match and gave enough cushioning and protection for floor and light dumbbell work.
